Annandale Pediatrics was the first pediatric office established in Fairfax County in 1954 by Dr. A Barsanti and Dr. J.D. Bunce. Dr Ellini joined the practice in 1989 and took over the practice when they retired. Dr R. Lorico joined the practice in 1995.
Dr. Ellini is a graduate of Tehran University. He currently has over 35 years of experience as a Pediatrics and Adolescent doctor. He completed his pediatric residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He joined Annandale Pediatrics in 1989. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics. He was an Assistant Professor and Director of Medical Education in Children’s Hospital Medican Center of Tehran University. Dr. Ellini is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Georgetown University and University of Virginia. He is married and the father of three children and the grandfather of five.
Ruth Sunga-Lorico, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Sunga-Lorico is a graduate of the University of the East Philippines. She completed her residency at the University Hospital at Stonybrook in New York in 1995 and has over 18 years of experience. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lorico is married to a physician and the mother of two daughters.
